About

Jonathan Taylor is a Senior Attorney who originally joined The Law Offices of Moffa, Sutton, & Donnini, P.A., in 2016. Mr. Taylor concentrates in the areas of Florida tax appeals and general administrative appeals. Mr. Taylor also volunteers with Guardian ad Litem to handle appellate matters.

Mr. Taylor joined the firm after spending 3 years as a litigation associate with a well-respected law firm in Fort Lauderdale. During that time, Mr. Taylor practiced in the areas of commercial and business litigation. Mr. Taylor received his B.A. in Criminal Justice, magna cum laude, from Florida Atlantic University. Mr. Taylor then received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. While at Nova, Mr. Taylor was an associate editor with the Nova Law Review.

Sarasota Cnty. v. Sarasota Surf & Racquet Club Condo. Ass’n, Inc., 225 So. 3d 817 (Fla. 2d DCA 2017) (affirming final judgment that condominium association was not liable for tourist development tax on reservation booking fees or cleaning fees).

Grabba-Leaf, LLC v. Dep’t of Bus. & Prof’l Reg., 257 So. 3d 1205 (Fla. 1st DCA 2018) (reversing final order and holding that Department’s statement on taxing cigar blunt wraps was an invalid, unadopted rule).

Winner Tobacco Wholesale, Inc. v. Comm’r of Revenue, 2018 WL 4517921 (Minn. Tax. Regular Div., Sept. 13, 2018) (granting refund of Minnesota Tobacco Tax that Winner paid on federal excise tax specifically stated in manufacturer invoices).

Dep’t of Revenue v. GBR Enters., Inc., 294 So. 3d 862 (Fla. 1st DCA 2020) (affirming final order that a Department rule on vending machines was an invalid exercise of delegated legislative authority).
