Richardson Jean is an associate attorney who joined the Law Offices of Moffa, Sutton & Donnini, P.A. in 2025. Mr. Jean concentrates in the area of State and Local Taxation.
Mr. Jean holds an L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law (2024) and a Juris Doctor from The Pennsylvania State University, Penn State Law (2020). During law school, Mr. Jean distinguished himself as a Public Interest Law Fund Fellowship recipient and ABA JIOP fellow. Mr. Jean also earned certifications in Corporate Law Practice, Advocacy & Litigation, and Taxation from Penn State Law.
Mr. Jean earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, cum laude, from Florida International University (2016), where he was recognized as a Golden Key Scholar and inducted into Phi Sigma Tau, the International Honor Society in Philosophy.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Jean worked as an associate at two different Florida based firms, specializing in commercial litigations and Defense Based Act claims. Mr. Jean also spent over three years as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where he represented the state of Florida in criminal cases, ranging from misdemeanors to felonies punishable by life imprisonment.
Mr. Jean’s legal foundation was built through diverse experiences during law school, including serving as a Research Assistant to Professor Samuel C. Thompson, Jr., focusing on taxation. He gained practical courtroom experience through positions as a Certified Legal Intern with the Lycoming County Public Defender's Office, a Judicial Law Clerk Extern with the Centre County Court of Common Pleas, a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Judge Tanya Brinkley in Miami-Dade County, and a Law Clerk at Legal Services of Greater Miami's Community Economic Development Unit.
